These are informal, self-paced introductory courses. Finishing one earns you a free FDA certificate of completion, not an accredited qualification. FDA’s proposed community hub remains a separate project seeking funding.

Before you begin

What do I need?

Internet access for the videos, and a computer for the web design exercises. Graphic design activities can also be completed on a suitable mobile device. Free tools and assets are enough to get started.

Are the courses free?

Yes. The course access plans are free. Internet data and any optional paid software, assets, domain names, or hosting remain your own choice and are not included.

Can I learn at my own pace?

Yes. There are no scheduled classes or fixed start dates. Sign in to My learning to continue and see your saved lesson progress.

Do I get a certificate?

Yes, a free FDA certificate of completion when you finish every lesson in a course. In Graphic Design Essentials, you also need at least 65% in each module quiz, and you can retake quizzes as often as you like. Web Design Fundamentals and Digital Essentials end with a short quiz that you submit to finish. Your certificate then appears in My Certificates, where you can view and print it.

It shows you completed the course. It is not an accredited qualification. The lessons support informal skills development and personal practice.
